I had no idea these were being copied.

That explains why suddenly there are a lot more listings on ebay with the carry case included. A year ago it was rare as hen's teeth to see one, now there are 3 or 4 a week where the helmet comes with its case.

Sometimes I wish I collected something boring but un-fakeable, like insects or rocks. There are far too many unscrupulous reproductions in the pickelhaube world... ](*,)

I think the top, carrying, handle would be a give-away... something to watch.
