It popped into my head one night that it might be interesting to have a section on the forum where we can share stories of collector finds/scores with other members. We all share a passion here and I think that sharing stories of rare finds will be both entertaining and encouraging to us all. I have always regarded a big part of this collecting business as a treasure hunt. I mean, why else when on a trip do we stop at every antique and thrift store along the way?? Why do we have a regular routine of checking the Goodwill and Salvation Army stores in our towns?? Some even post newspaper adds trying to attract treasure (James)! I place more value on those pieces in my collection which have a story behind them than something I just bought from a dealer's shelf. Anyway, lets see if this "story" section works out.
