The shapes of the visor and neckguard are different, among other things.
Check out the spike tops, too.

Those probably look good from a distance but I bet they have the quality of toys up close. But they have style! :)

They do look pretty cheap in closer shots--nowhere near as a good a quality as the Chilean ones.

Some of the modern Chilean helmets seem to have their spikes mounted too far forward on the dome, probably due to the spines being too long.
The little cone on the end of the Chilean spikes may be a manufacturing shortcut, too.

I agree! Nice looking, but I wish they'd have 'wrapped' the frontplate, contouring it to the bombe, dome, etc. of the helmet!

In any case, I have a new Swedish Guards helmet and it's pretty nice, although it's missing the spike. (Anyone know where I can get an issue Swedish spike?)
It's a large size and not as good of quality as the older Pickelhaube... but it's shiny like a mirror!

:D Ron

One frontal pic shows no stitching holes accross the front visor. I wonder if in fact these are made from molded plastic?? A onepiece shell and visors to which the fittings are fastened. Brian

I'd not be surprised to find they are molded vulcanfibre.
They even put the outline of the bell-shaped post pieces on them.
I can't remember the correct name for those.
Looks like a one-size-fits most design, too.
