Colorized B/W-Photos

Thanks Sandy. I like the one that shows before and after. The color adds a lot. Do you do the coloring? Is it a lengthy process? Thanks!

This is really impressive! Determining all correct colors, notably for uniforms, must be difficult.
Do you have original colour photographs on the same theme and period?

Great stuff - I knew a guy who took photos using an 1860 camera. He mounted a modern 35mm camera on top of of the old one, so when he pressed to button both cameras took a picture. Old was in B&W and the new was color. It was very interesting to see the difference between the two images.

Thank you all for your kind words. I‘m glad that you like it :)
For coloring the photos I use my ipad with the pencil and Adobe-Apps. I mostly start with some digital repairs and improvements, which is necessary for most of the old photos. For the colors, every project is accompanied by some internet researches for modern color-photos of uniforms (or paintings) and for photos with a similar environment where I can pick the colors from. Afterwards the photo will be completely colored in by hand, similar to reverse glass-photo painting.
