Hi,

There is something wrong about this but I cannot "put my finger on it".
Shouldn't there be a reservists cross?
Is this original?

It appears that the Prussian wappen was original to the helmet. IMO though. there are some real problems to feel good that the Saxon Duchy crest was original to the helmet! You called the first one: no reservist cross. It also appears that a cross had been afixed to the eagle at one time, but the Saxon Duchy crest appears to have covered this from the front. Secondly, one of the two prongs on each side of the Duch crest appears to have been broken off. Lastly, the cockade is incorrect

Hi,

I agree about the Prussian Off plate, which belongs to the helmet.

I agree about the missing prongs. But it is usual, because they are very fragile.

OK for the cockade too.

But I do not see the presence of a Reserve cross: so it is because there is no Bandeau or because of the brown/black point on the bottom of the reverse of the Plate ???
