Another question for the specialists!
What do you think of this helmet. I have this left over because I only collect officers. But I don't want to make any false statements. I also have these cockades. If they don't fit on the helmet. Thank you for your efforts.
Merry Christmas to all members of the forum and good luck with collecting in the New Year

Well, it is an M15 kurassier helmet, unfortunately somebody got carried away cleaning it. Most of the grey fittings, spike, the edges of the helmet lost all its fieldgrey finish. The picture of the inside shows that most of it is still present there.
It should look like this:
As shown on Tony's site.

Thank you for the quick reply and your opinion. Is the helmet even for sale in this condition? I also have some models before 1900. But the inside has been repainted. And the inner lining has been replaced. Just acted stupid

Well, if you want to sell it like it is now, I might be interested. As I would like a project to work on, I do have modelling skills, regarding paintwork.
Kokarden, and chinstrap should be replaced off-course, it will never be as it should be, but then again, a helmet like this should still get some love and care. I still regret selling my Jager zu Pferde M15, and alway's wanted one of these.

Could you take a better picture of the inside of the shell with more light? There might be a manufacturers name inside...

I examined the helmet. There are no stamps visible on the inside. No remains of a stamp either. Only what is embossed on the neck shield.
