Display of cloth headgear. How to?

What is the best way to rest cloth headgear on the shelf? What do you use to make sure these stay in shape? Thank you!

I usually use a hat stretcher for German officers' caps and a piece of long tall cardboard on the inside of french kepis.

I use chlor-free, acid-free and non-ageing foams to support the shell and hopefully prevent sinking.
