Apparently someone is selling off a major collection on Ebay:

Does anybody know who this collector/dealer is?

John :?

It might be Der Rittmeister militaria, he's the only one insane enough to as for extremely overvalued prices for his helmets....

I do not think it is Der Rittmeister as they live in Florida, and this seller is in Maine.

It isn't Der Rittmeister. I checked this guy's Ebay followers and Der Rittmeister is one of them. I don't think Ebay allows you to follow yourself.

John :)

For what I think ;
James is correct , Owls head, Maine ; where ever that is ?
When I first saw the 1 L H R 1 officer he stated that it was
from the Jim T. collection .
I emailed Jim and he told me that it was a piece that he had
sold to Der R sometime back
so my guess is that this collector was / is a customer of Der R
and James is also correct Der R lives in Fla.
I remember the See-Batl helmet said to be of Kaiser Wilhelm II
Der R had it for sale some time back
I think it my 47 years of collecting , I have never know of a collector
that lives in Maine .
I would also guess that he is asking the same price for his helmets
that he paid .
The 1 G R zu Fuss helmet could have belonged to the Price Adalbert
but the inside is in poor condition . I have not seen a helmet to a Royal
in that condition of the inside.

As a wise man once told me...."You make your money going in" in other words, if you pay too much initially, it is going to take a long time for you to break even and get that money back. Bargain with the seller and get the price down as much as you can. Anyone buying from Der R is paying too much in my opinion.
