That makes two of us.

I'm constantly amazed by some of the absolute rubbish that people attempt to foist on the marketplace.

And some of the expected prices....most of them are laughable which is bad but then when it receives zero bids it gets re-listed at the same price. I've watched a couple of CEF items for probably three years now. Just being re-listed time and time again.

I took particular interest in the 19th century Tschako. I have a few Napoleonic pieces and, though I would NEVER consider myself an expert, I have done extensive research on the pieces I have. This piece of crap does not qualify under any of the criteria. It is neither original nor Centenaranfertigung (reproduced for the 100th anniversary of the Napoleonic Wars). This guy has taken great pains to try and rip somebody off!

I have noticed many more ads on Ebay for Napoleonic stuff lately --- 99.9% fake. Maybe if they start faking this stuff more they will leave Pickelhaubes alone!
I doubt it.
