DRGM stamping

Can anyone tell me when the DRGM stamp started being used? I've heard it was in 1929 but I'm sure there's a load of WW1 stuff DRGM stamped.

I was just cleaning some of my stuff when I noticed on several of my Reservist flasks had the DRGM code marked on the bottom. Most of these pre-date 1900.

Hmmmmm..those flasks look pretty cool. I want one! Perhaps this could be another potential thread or even site area on its own. Steins, flasks, pipes... anything to do with a souvenir of service in the Imperial German Army. Brian
