Just in on Feb 13
a pair of epaulettes for Eisenbahn Regt 1
The Eisenbahn units were part of the Prussian Garde Korp
They wore Garde Korp helmets and Waffenrocks
The earlier epaulettes had a red field with the " E "
along with the " E " they had Roman numerals
the later style epaulettes like these shown here
have a light gray field with the number 1

The regiment was formed in 1875 and was part of the Prussian Garde Korp
in Berlin .Lanie shows that in 1912 there were 4 Eisenbahn regiments

I will have to go back and look at the Kammer stamps on that helmet.
I think that we covered this helmet on a previous thread
one of our members filled me in about this helmet

I checked the helmet that you asked about and
it has a Kammer stamp " E R 2 "
I seem to remember there was a thread about
this helmet and member argonne / Philippie
gave me some info that the E R 2 kammer for this helmet
was correct
now if I can just find the thread to relate what he said
The officer helmet next to it would be Landwehr .

A very good collector friend of mine is going to
have 2 nice helmets for sale in the near future
I think one might be a Garde Landwehr
