The only thing I notice is that there are no re-enforcements by the chinstrap 'lugs'... I think (but am not sure here at work) that all of mine have those little extra pieces of felt.

Anything else a give-away on these? (Other than the seller offering twin helmets with identical aging)

For what it's worth, I examined the two helmets auctioned by eMedals when I visited their store in Burlington, Ontario last Wednesday. Both were honestly represented in the eBay descriptions.

I just looked at my three filzhaube and none have the re-enforcements I was thinking of... So, I guess that doesn't help me much. The Saxon didn't look good to me in the auctions, but I honestly can't tell which of the others may have been faked, if they were.
I'm glad to hear two looked good 'in hand'.
I hope that makes sense.... I tend to be a bit cryptic sometimes.

And another.....
