I have mailed via express mail one of our field gray metal spike helmets fitted with the Royal Bavarian crest available at the price of 13.25 Marks, each delivered to you in December in the quantity of 30,000 helmets.
If your officer does not want this model helmet, I am ready to offer you my light weight field gray cork spike helmets. I have already produced 75,000 of these helmets for Prussia and Saxony. These are very light, durable and waterproof …and since cork is a poor conductor of heat (hold in body heat in cold weather) , it is well suited for winter wear. . These cork helmets cost only 10.50 Marks.
I will soon send you a sample.
