Estate Sale Find

Last week I went for a walk with my wife and stopped to talk to a neighbor about his weed control efforts. I realized he runs some estate sales (his van has the company logo) and asked if he ever sees militaria. He said, "the current house has a couple of helmets." I went the next morning and came home with this German Model 1916 helmet.
