This is interesting.

Sure is. Somebody buffed the living daylights out of the coat of arms (if it's original). It looks like it and the star were made from worn out dies... which might be correct (?????)

:D Ron

Never seen an officer model with this combination of felt shell/leather visors before. The interior looks fishy to me because of the following: sweat band is "poofy" around the rim of the shell and not tight. Second you can see white stitches where the blue bag is stitched to the sweat band. No matter what colour the bag is, they almost ALWAYS use beige thread and very SMALL stitches to tack the bag to the SW band. The thread colour is meant to blend in with the natural colour of the SW band. I have seen red thread used on a dark brown SW band. The chin scale bosses are also not the typical design one sees.....very plain and smooth. Too many questions to spend over $4,500 Canuck bucks! No offense intended but I am very suspicious of any hauben that come from the UK.

But wait...there's more...

Tropical? It looks more like thermal underwear. :?
The spine is too short, the painter missed a spot on the lion (dull green spray paint from a discount store, perhaps)...

The same seller has one from IR92 (the cockade has bare steel showing on the blue one as if the painter let the photographer have it too soon); he also has a Tschapka:

"Caveat emptor" might be an understatement.
