hello and thank you for letting me join these forums!

I'm trying to help a local museum here in fitzwilliam, NH identify some helmets...they appear (to me anyways...I'm definitely out of my field here!) to be WW1 and before

obviously, the1915 Picklelhaube and the 1915 Tschako on the right are fairly easy to identify (thank you kaisersbunker.com!) but the rest..well..I'm hoping you people here can help!

what I'm looking to identify....

1)the tall helmets/hats on either end of the display case with the brass sunburst on the front and the red-and-blue feathers

2)the brownish helmet on the left side with the red feathers

Warhorse,

I'm afraid the pictures you have don't provide a lot of detail on the helmets.

I have to say the helmet on the front left with the red plume is some sort of theater prop.

While shako's where still used by a number of Continental armies until the 19th century, the two in the display do not resemble any I have seen from standing armies.

They could be from local militia's or parade group.

Perhaps if you could get some interior shots we could see if they have some sort of markings.

Welcome Warhorse,
I would have to agree with John, better photos of the schakos would be good.
