Hi,
More pictures of friends or even family, but nobody remembers the faces. Any clue would be helpful.

Picture 017-1 looks to me like a Fusilier Rgt (1 stationed in Hannover) or Infanterie Rgt (3 stationed in Hannover). 3 buttons Brandeburg cuffs, no collar Litzen.

Picture 023 also taken in Hannover looks similar to the above, except that he belongs to the Band.

Picture 025-1 also looking at Kaiser's Bunker list of uniforms has similarities with Infanterie Nassauisches Rgt. Nr. 87 or Nr. 88 or Leib Inf. Rgt Grossherzogin Nr. 117, all stationed in Mainz

Picture 028 taken in Dresden. Could it be Prussia Jaeger Lin. Rgt or Saechs. Jaeger

I would be grateful to know if I am anywhere close in my novice guesses. Better answers from the qualified eyes of this forum are most welcome.

Thank you for your help. Kind regards.

First two look like:

1. Hannoversches Infanterie-Regt. Nr.74
(Hannover) X Armee Korps

#3 Hessian belt buckle???

To me.

Thank you Joe. I was not too far off. For picture #3 (photographer in Mainz), is it possible to tell the rank with the saber and the "cord" across the right hand-side of the gentleman's chest. Is he an Unteroffizier?

If it is a Hessian buckle, the only Regiment which is stationed in Mainz and has Hessen in its name seems to be the Infanterie Leib Rgt. Grossherzogin (3. Grossherzoglich Hessiches) Nr. 117 Mainz XVIII Armee Korps. Would you feel this could be possible? Is there anything in this uniform picture which could prove that it is not possible?

Kind regards

Roland
