French Foreign Legion Khaki Kepi

Guys,

I have seen several listings showing what is referred to as a French Foreign Legion 1921 pattern kepi that is very similar to the M1884 NCO shape (a square shape rather than the tilted forward shape of the standard EM M1884 kepi). So, basically an identical shape to a WW1 NCO kepi, but khaki rather than red/blue. These kepis are in khaki wool, a similar wool to the 'moutarde' uniform worn by the legion in WW1.

The problem is that I canot find reference to a '1921' pattern khaki kepi in any of my reference books. Can any of my friends from La Francaise shed any light on this?

Mike
