Gaede Helmet

What do you all think of this? Price seems on the lower side compaired to what I have seen for a complete helmet. The shape looks correct but is missing the two cut outs on the sides for an additional support strap. The back looks good with the small triangular piece of leather.

I don't know what to make of these. However here's a real whopper for example complete with imperial crown stamp. I love the zinjanthropus inspired saggital crest.

Hi Jay,

I went ahead and looked back and forth at the two sets of photos. You are right; only the support strap holes are missing.

All I have to say is that if this one on ebay is a fake, then the little foundry shops in India have stepped up their game...

I would be very hesitant to jump on any gaede helmet, there are so many fakes out there.

If you are interested in this one I would ask the seller for many more pictures, including several up close pics before buying....

Im not sure that I’m interested at this point as I am just picking out the discrepancies. To that point, I noticed the rivets on the one for sale are also much more pronounced than the three good examples
