Garde De Korps Officers Helmet Quesion

A customer has brought this in to my shop and though I know the gentleman very well I dont want to be sorry and buy a reproduction as these are not $5. I have never owned one personally though I have collected picklehaubes and had lots of them through my hands. Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks for the information. This customer purchased this helmet from Frank Grant in Limehouse Ontario. Why he buys things from him I have no idea. Its like sticking your hand into a alligators mouth. You just dont do it. Oh well. Hopefully he will get something back from him but I highly doubt it

Well, Dave, as long as he paid the price of a reproduction (I think they charge around $ 1500,00 for these)...

No he paid $15,000.00 for it. He and a friend will be having a discussion with him at the next show. It wont end well for somebody. I might just tape it for posterity sake and post it online
