Marked L.G. 1890 and the spikebase is held on with some unusually large domed pins...

If you squint, those 'domes' actually look like Brodie Helmets!

Love the detailing on that eagle though! This part at least looks authentic to me...

Yea Landes Gendarmerie...we have discussed these previously. I had one but sold it. They all have that heavy cut stamp in the front of the shell. Filled in holes as well in the front of the shell.
