Wartime? I've seen white liners, which would be right for this type, but never white under the visors. Interesting. Felt / lacquered body.... one for RON. :)

I missed that (and I even looked this morning!). #-o Like I said, never saw visor linings like that. Good price too. Still... one for RON! :)

This one's mine, so feel free to ask any questions! If I get a chance, I'll try to find some pics of other pickelhauben with all-white interiors to post...

Ron, Arran, nice piece indeed!

But I thought wartime pickelhaubes had removable chinscales and spikes? :-k

Some did, some did not. I have an officer's M-15 with the lug mount for the spike, but standard scales. This helmet was obviously a custom order and would have been made to the purchaser's specifications...

Here are two helmets, one a Prussian Uhlan and one a Wurttemberg General (both owned by the same individual) that also have an all-white interior. They appeared in a 1993 Kube auction...

Very nice helmet indeed. Do you perhaps have an idea about the chap who originally owned this one?

Regards,

Edwin

Hi Edwin- no marks, initials, or indicator as to who the original owner might have been. I've now done a deal on the helmet- thanks all for your interest!
