German and Bulgarian officers in Prilep (Macedonia) in 1917

This was an image that someone shared with me on another forum. It shows Bulgarian officers in Prilep (Macedonia) in 1917. But are the two officers German or Bulgarian? They seem to be German?

It is hard to make out the model of helmets. I may be seeing a British-made Wolseley pattern, but is it another pattern?

On the two pith helmets the cochades are not german. They seems to be bulgarian.

Keep in mind the image has been colorized, so whoever did that could have gotten the color wrong.

I would guess from the scalloped pocket design that the two in Tropical helmets maybe be KuK, Austro-Hungarians.
