Maybe my last purchase of 2011 is this German Bavarian Pickaxe (beilpicke) with the leather carrier the carrier is manufactured by J.G.Raum located in Nürnberg dated 1917.
Unless you can see some marking on the pick itself, I think that Raum is just the manufacturer of the leather carrier. Both pieces are very nice. I have no idea what Arran is talking about? :-k
