Is anybody able to tell me what Imperial German Armee Korps were stationed on the French Frontier with Germany 1898 - 1908? Was it just the XV.A.K. & XVI.A.K.

George,

This is an excerpt from the 1897 garrison stationing. It did not really change until the additions of the corps. What I like about this map is that the corps areas are colored differently, and the corps numbers are printed with a round circle around him and not the standard Roman numeral. While this is different than normal it does allow for a lot more vision of the area. Hope this helps.

George if you find a good black and white one of the 1914 positions prewar -- let me know. Even the one on the inside cover of Das Deutsche Heer is wrong.
