What’s the difference between these 2 knots gentlemen?
When I first bought them online, I thought they were either both Wehrmacht Officer Portepees or, if I was lucky, one would turn out to be from WW1.
But after taking a closer look when I got them, they both seem to be dark green tainted leather so WW2 (as opposed to black colored leather which would make them imperial), although old dark green is hard to tell from black...
Moreover, I noticed that the shapes of the bullion bulbs are slightly different—which could be attributed to different makers?—but more importantly, the bullion bulb dots are different.
Here they are side-by-side for comparison; what are they exactly?
