German South West Africa Medallion

Hi all

I bought this medallion some time ago and was wondering if anyone had any information about it, my interest lies in The German South West Africa Campaign from 1914-15 and am hoping that this medallion is from that period. It may be pre WW1. The loop/suspender is missing. I dont think its silver but is fairly heavy.

Hi Bill,

The medal does not appear to be one of the official medals issued for Colonial Campaigns prior to 1914. It is most likely a post 1918 semi official award. There's a list with photo links to many of these here-
