A collector friend of mine sent out this photo.
His question is why are the ribbons placed on his epaulettes ?
I have not seen this , so I can't answer his question .
Do any members out there know the reason why ?
If so please post the answer.
He has also seen a few photos of British Royals in uniform
with the ribbons on their epaulettes

I think the ribbons were worn for a wedding, but I have seen that on at least one or two other photos
