Great Find or Fake?

The plate seems to be missing a piece on the top.
It's hard to see the details of the whole helmet, but does the spine fit?

Welcome to the forum! That is certainly an interesting find. From Malta! You might enjoy this article.

Welcome! Nice to have you on board.

Wait for something in better condition... IMHO.

:D Ron (not to be confused with RON)

Welcome to the forum. This helmet is too far gone for me and as Ron said its better to wait for something in a better condition.

Regards,

Edwin

If you wait for an Ecuadorian helmet in better condition you could be waiting for a very long time, as they are extremely rare. There should be a large condor attached to the top of the plate, but these are only joined at the legs and break very easily; I have officer's and EM's plates in my collection, but no complete helmet...

I had not gotten it yet, but I did not even see that. I suppose that I have a lot to learn, I mostly deal with soviet bloc and latin american items and I may buy some imperial and third reich items every now and then.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me to the forum and I think I will just wait to see what turns up at the SOS, it's my first time going.
