Here's a helmet I recently acquired that I'm going to send up to Brian for re-stitching of the back visor.

Looks like the front visor trim has popped off from the edge of the leather also.

I'll find an officer spike and officer star retainers to complete this helmet.

Very nice! That's going to look awesome when you get it all together! The interior looks like its in real good shape. :thumb up:

Yes, the interior is in good shape.

And there are no extra holes in the helmet body behind the front plate.

I believe that most of the mercury fire gilt finish is still intact on the fittings, underneath a thick film of grime residue.

I've worked at trying to find these helmets, but have had more sheer luck than anything else in acquiring them.

Looking at the pictures of the outside and inside of this helmet, one would think there were two different helmets. I, too, look forward to seeing the helmet refinished after you and Brian have worked on it.
