Grenadier Regiment 3 raised 1685 I A K with G R 1
Garrison Konigsberg
sorry I have no helmet for this regiment
nor do I have a Waffenrock
I do a set of officers collar and cuffs from a Waffenrock
the special collar and cuffs were first worn on 9.9.1901
I do not have a date for the new wide winged Grenadier eagle
but regiments 1 and 2 were given their new eagles on the same
dates as the collar and cuffs .The cuffs are piped in white which is
correct for G R 3.



A pair of epaulettes in the rank of Major . The cypher was worn 27.11.1889



A single shoulder strap in the rank of Generaloberst which was worn by Generaloberst
von Kluck . A real treat for me to find a Generals strap for one of the Grenadier regiments .

I am adding a Military Pass book
for an enlisted man in Grenadier Regiment 3.
I was able to purchase this at one of the S O S shows
Inside were the man's books plus the minty
shoulder strap you see with it .

While it well known that all 6 of the Kaiser's sons
served in the 1st Garde Regt. zu Fuss
each of the sons also " served" in one
of the Prussian Grenadier Regiments
G R 1 Crown Prince Wilhelm
G R 2 Prince Eitel Friedrich
G R 3 Prince August Wilhelm
G R 4 Prince Adalbert
G R 5 Prince Joachim
G R 7 Prince Oskar
