I love this memorial to the Königlich Bayerisches 6. Chevaulegers-Regiment.

Memories come back. I lived in Bayreuth many many years ago. The water comes out of five horse heads. The pentagonal shape of the memorial suits the Sternplatz with its five streets leading into it, but is also reminiscent of the five escadrons of the regiment.

6. Schwolleschee - my favourite Bavarian unit.
