I may be playing into your hands, but I presume this is a prussian EM felt erzatz helm. Is there something I'm missing? Does it have to do with the collar tabs in identifying it?

I should have posted this yesterday. no hidden agenda. Look at the color contrasts. The spike even looks different. Steel with brass wappen? I don't know. First I thought he had an uberzug on.

Looking with attention at the soldier's face, we noticed that he doesn't have good intentions, or who knows, he drank liters of beer...
Speaking serious, we can notice the fatigue, the sadness and the poor man's melancholy. In spite of us to have just interest for the history and related items, we cannot never forget ourselves about the pain and of the suffering that those men, on both sides, they were forced to try. The ideal, would be a world without wars, without hate, without prejudices, a world in that all the men can be brothers. Great picture!
