Wow I´d like to see that.

They have several very interesting topics on their site, particularly I also stumbled over their exhibit "The First World War in Color", which is a very underrepresented topic. The abundance of b/w pictures lets most people overlook that the military was full of colors until 1914.

A Flickr contact sent me that link, I think he's a volunteer at the Liberty Memorial, anyway, he's going to try and photograph some of the donated items when they're finally exhibited.

I'll post his email here, might interest a few people and I don't think he'd mind:

"I doubt if we'll be lucky enough to see any of it for at least a year or two, but who knows. They do have a lot of space, but most of it is already filled with the interactive displays, a trench/bomb crater, a torpedo or two and a biplane in a pear tree. there's also a French Renault tank in there somewhere too.

We'll just have to wait and see. I think I'll go check out the place next week and ask a few questions while I'm there.

Where does one get all that stuff? it seems like he cornered the market.

It does bode well for kansas city and the aspiration to be the big WW1 repository and museum for the u.s."
