I think the answer you are looking for can be find in the book „Uniformenkunde - Das Deutsche Heer - Friedensuniformen bei Ausbruch des Weltkrieges“.
Source of following pictures are from „Uniformenkunde - Das Deutsche Heer - Friedensuniformen bei Ausbruch des Weltkrieges“, Bd. 3 - Tafel 160-166:

I see FR on the breasts of both the large and small eagles. To me this looks like the typical Prussian Beamte officer wappen. You probably can not post this photo because Weitze does not permit it.

I was able to upload the photos.Thank you beautifully Sandy for the info.Very faint subtitles.Musical army inspector?

Woytek, to me it looks indeed like a wappen for a Musical inspector. I enlarged Sandy's picture a bit on my computer.
I do not know much about this, but I guess there were not many around those day's.

Regards, Coert.

I think it is an „Armee-Musikinspizient“. There are 2 Versions of an golden Eagle with a small silver Eagle.
The “1. Armee-Musik-Inspizient“ got a Landwehr-Eagle without banner and a small Eagle. And the „Armee-Musikinspizient“ got a Linie-Eagle with banner and small Eagle.

Ok now I see Royal cypher.....my old eyes failed me . That is unique and yet again, something I have never seen before. 👍

I notice the cypher is a plain W, could this place it it before 1888? Unlike the later models with"FR". Tried to post a photo but would not take, also could not complete my text.???

I just checked the Textbook of the book I got the pictures from. It was just written about a small Eagle in silver or gold, no further infos about different breastplates of it.
