Because of the red fields and blue thread near the edges of the braids, I would say an officer of the Bavarian infantry regiment No. 9.

It's from a store sample book that I bought a few years ago.

I know, but I could imagine that the red thread was a mistake and the blue one was therefore placed next to it. Especially with Bavarian articles I have seen generous deviations from the regulations. For sure that’s a guessing only, but I think it is an original part and the thread looks old.
