Help!

[Prussian Garde]

I have an East German enlisted uniform that came without shoulder boards. So I ordered them and I have no idea how to put them on. They are currently held by safety pins but I don’t know how they normally are supposed to be. Here is what the uniform looks like.
Also, can someone tell me what these markings mean?
