Hello, Everyone. I am new to the forum, so I hope that I am posting in the right spot but I got this belt buckle from a friend in Russia who said she found it when she was out for a walk. She said that she I would be interested in it. After cleaning it, I found the initials, " A" and "G" on it. Now I have a few questions about it? Maybe someone could help me out with? Would anyone happen to know what model belt buckle this is? and does anyone happen to know if their were any Hessian Regiment on the Eastern Front during WW1? Could it happen been wore by a German Soldier during the Second World War? It was found in a area not far from where the battle of Stalingrad took place?

Welcome to the forum! I cannot comment much on belt buckles but there were units that wore them on the Eastern front. Stalingrad seems quite a ways away though. Must have been exciting to find! O
