HR15 Reservist's Photo

Am I missing something here ? I do not see the battle honors on their headdress.
What year was the battle honors awarded to the banner ?
Another nice photo
Steve
Is it possible that the reserve unit were not allowed the battle honors ?

These company/squadron/battery photographs are always interesting and provide much of worth.

Here the squadron commander is Rittmeister Victor von Koenig, born 21 April 1854 in Rybnik in Silesia. Entered Dragoner-Regiment Nr. 2 as an "Avantegeur" or Fahnenjunker on 1 November 1873 and promoted to Portepee-Fähnrich on 9 June 1874 and Seconde-Lieutenant on 12 October 1875.He served as the regimental adjutant from 18 October 1884 to 30 September 1889 and was promoted to Premier-Lieutenant on 14 April 1885. He was transferred to Husaren-Regiment Nr. 15 on promotion to Rittmeister on 16 May 1891 being appointed as a squadron commander on 18 July of the same year. On 10 June 1899 he was appointed as the adjutant to the chief of mounted field courier corps (Reitendes Feldjägerkorps) and promoted to Major on 27 January 1900. Returning to regimental duty on 8 January 1901, he was subsequently transferred as the staff major of Dragoner-Regiment Nr. 19 and retired on 14 May 1902 with the uniform of DR 19 but from 28 June 1906 was awarded permission to wear the uniform of DR 2. He rather disappears off the radar after 1906 and is no longer listed in the 1908/09 Orders almanac which leaves me to surmise he died in the intervening period.

Regards
Glenn
