Huis Doorn

Just noticed a remark on der Rittmeister's site that Huis Doorn has been closed to the public by the Netherlands government.
Whenever this was done I had no idea it had happened and am shocked that they could do this. Is this due to covid, or another example of 'cancel culture" ?

Steve,
According to their website, they are still open, and you can visit it still.

If you need some translating Dutch, let me know.
But the dates and tours are visible I presume.

Regards, Coert.

Hmm - it appears to still be open, according to their own website: Huis Doorn

Tickets are available (they even show how many are left for each day).

Exactly,

The only thing I can imagine, is that there only was a debate that our governement wanted to stop subsidizing them, but after a lot of debate, this was not put through. I think Der Rittmeister made a mistake there.

Regards, Coert.

Glad to hear that Rittmeister was wrong, I was hoping to go there again in the autumn (covid and wife permitting ). I remember the funding debate from a while back. Thanks for correcting me.
(And him!). Steve
