Not so familliar withe the regimental markings!
I would appreciate any help in what the marks "RJAXVIII f"of a neck flap could mean.
cheers

Not a Regimental marking.
This marking in the Nackenschirm/neckguard means:
"Reserve Instandsetzungs Amt XVIII Armee Korps Feldbrauchbar"-approved for use in "the field".
?In a Hessian Haube ?
Regards,
Francis

Hey Francis,
thanks a lot!
Didn't know that!
It was in a Prussian haube, but a lesser god.I can send you a pic in private if you want!

Not all of XVIII Army Corps was Hessian. About half. And then many of those used Prussian Wappen. I would like a picture of the marking please please please! And of course permission to post it.

It will be hard to photograph! It is made of very fine lines, like made by a cutter...
Maybe by coloring it in a way it might be visible!
I'll see what I can do, later on because I have to leave now.
But if it works I 'll show it and you can use it !
cheers

Made a mistake by telling it was 1895 model! It is a 1915M!
Don't know if the markings are still relavant !?

Mark is very relevant and I believe I can use the second one easily – the one you wet. Thank you very much! :thumb up:
