This link shows color footage from 1937 of troops wearing imperial cavalry uniforms. Tschapkas, lobstertail helmets...the whole nine yards...even von Mackensen is there with his 'possum busby.

Search for this in youtube: german calvalry of the third reich in color (1937)

The word cavalry is not spelled correctly, but that's how the clip is listed.

that was outstanding thank you! These things bring up an entire line of questioning about helmets made in the 1930s...
