I do not know how to explain it... But I do not like this one.
Stud retainers, position of the lion on the spike bottom, extra-holes...
I really do not like that.
It seem to be a "parts helmets".

Hi

Concerning the extra holes: generally speaking, why not, and especially on this kind of old leather shell, reissued and re issued..... But the 2 upper holes, closed with leather, with some tracks of rings for 1895 type do not make sens to me. In this way, may the typical Heesiian spike was added later and then there are (maybe....) 4 other holes between the spike and the black metal part.... holes designed for a 1895 model???....

Maybe I am wrong, but there are too much "small" concerns on this helmt
I totally support JR92: suspicious.

Finally, because there are no markings from Hesse, I do not see why to buy it. Spare pieces?
