I put together my few Infantry Feldgrau straps
.
Mike Kelso has a complete collection
and maybe he will post photos of his strap collecton

Chip Minx also had a complete Infantry feldgrau collection
but his kept them as something to have from thier father's collection

A couple of straps in tray 2 were ones that I bought from Chip
at an S O S show .It might have been his last one .

Seems almost all Feldgrau strap collectors try to get all the cyphers. That’s a difficult goal.

The picture you refer to Steve sounds like the one of a very young Chip at the Wehrgeschichtliches Museum Rastatt Baden.

... I get the IR145 strap from Chip around 2005/2006. I met Chip in summer 2008 in Germany - see.

Chip told me about his trip to the army museum and it was also allowed for him to go into the depot to open & watch everything.
He was amazed how much rare and unknown things were stored in the depot.
Best reagrds, Jens
