I R 88 ; some years ago I was at a show and saw this cover with green 88 numbers
I was thinking if the correct helmet is under that cover that will be a nice helmet
with a rare , special plate . I figured maybe it did not have the correct helmet
otherwise someone would have already purchased it . When I raised the cover
that was the I R 88 helmet . Also it was the soldiers name tag inside of the helmet
You see I have the cover over a Prussian line officers helmet so as
not to cover up the I R 88 helmet
The I R 88 officer is a reserve .
A nice pair of epaulettes for I R 88 officer
the last photo shows officers shoulder straps for I R 88
top left is a M1888 pair with blue underlay
top right single wide strap for the Friedensrock with white underlay
last pair at bottom for a Major in the feldgrau , subdued pattern
