This is not actually about Ebay, but I found this dealer who has some very interesting items.

I have purchased a couple of things from him, including a Model 1867 LG helmet, and have been quite pleased. He has always answered my questions truthfully, to the best of his knowledge, and he has always pointed out when an item had been altered or restored. Of most interest, he does not seem to charge exorbitant prices for his stuff. He is a dealer, so always investigate and do the research.
