The helmet on ebay is a guard reserve officer although the condition is a little rough. Here is a silver example in somewhat better condition.

Excellent helme R1! This helmet plate is illustrated in the Didier Laine book. Yours and the one on Ebay are the only ones that I have ever seen. Brian

I think for Officer helmets this is Garde Landwehr. Guard reservists have the Landwehr cross in the lower position under the normal guard star. I have had two of these -- 1 was heavily monkeyed with and the other is okay. The size of the Landwehr cross on these seems to vary quite a bit. I have measured some in between sizes.
