Interesting Photos of Wartime Kurassier with Peacetime gear

Gents,

I was torn between adding this link to the photos or uniforms link but since this might bring some debate regarding issue life of equipment here it is:

Take a look at the original images sections. The photo of the CO and his staff has a mix of prewar and wartime issue gear.

The Service 1915 photo if dated correctly still shows the Kurassiers in thier white Parade Kollers.

Finally the Going to Church? Shows them in field gray and wearing the Lobstertail helmet.

Nothing earth shattering but always good to see some photos showing gear and dates.

Interesting site and interesting pictures, particularly the mixture of pre-war white kollers and the field grey waffenrocks at the church. Here is my M-1910 officer's waffenrock and schirmmutze for K.R.8 for reference. You can't help but wonder if my tunic was worn by one of the officers shown on your site.

Close-up of the tresse. The cyphers had been removed mostly likely becauce the pre-war Regimental Chef for the regiment was King George V!!
