Interesting tchapka

Hello all,

This is being listed as a piece from imperial russia around the 1870s or 1880s but if im not mistaken this looks more like a prussian tchapka and given the spacing of the holes for the wappen wouldnt it be for the prussian guard?

Yes, an old Prussian model with heavy thick bolt on chin scales. Large Prussian kokarde which fits with the age of this piece being made before the Reich kokarde was authorized. Any wappen replacement would have to match the actual age of this tschapka.
