Interesting Weitze Dragoon?

Greetings pickelhaube-wise friends. What are your thoughts on this Dragoner from Mr. Weitze? Listed as a M67, but it looks later to me. (Not that I’ve seen a ton of these older guys). From the marks in the lacquer, the plate looks like it’s been there a while, but the helmet has had at least two plates (you can see the washer imprints for both on the inside, along with the second set of holes). Was the guard eagle increased in size at some point? I seem to recall the older ones I’ve seen being smaller and stiffer looking. Maybe that the wappen was updated during the service life of the helmet?

Shouldn’t the rosettes on the screw posts be silver? Not sure how consistently that was observed.

Thoughts and wisdom on whether this is an interesting older helmet with a story to tell, or a fiddled-with parts helmet are welcomed.
